Seth

I've been very bus these last days (as you can tell by my 3 new renders)...
I know that some of you think we don't create anything but only discover what's inside TG2 (not pointing anyone of course !), so here is what i discover ;)
thank you Walli :)

Wonderful Light in the trees.

Oooh! Lovely discovery. And my question on the previous thread applies again - the DOF is great!

Splendid work which can easily be mistaken for a photo. One of the most realistic TG2 renders Franck :)
I'm always in awe by your atmospheric work, works very well here.
Also, you always manage to get the right density for populations, which I still find hard sometimes.

However, I have one minor slight crits
You might consider increasing the diffuse color value for the barktexture of the pines. The texture is a tad dark, can't explain here right now ;)

Cheers on this marvelous work,
Martin

Another great "discovery", much better (imho) than your other post, "Walli's Place"
I love the sense of depth, not entirely due to DOF but more to do with skilful lighting :)
Richard

ps: I like the dark tree texture as it is :)

i will try that ! i thought the very dark texture was pretty okay with the sun almost right in front of the camera though :)

I'm pretty sure that in real life and photography you would see the bark quite clear with these conditions, that's why I thought to drop that suggestion.

This is really good.. This is what i'm looking forward to learn :)
Learning history and science, wait,
Knowing that, will that put food on my plate?
Yeah, can I walk into McDonald's, into the counter,
And tell them you can make limestone from gunpowder,
Will they give me a cheeseburger if I know that shit?

Forgot the formula FrankB used. Sorry.

I really liked this one also. All these images are photo quality renders. I am amazed!

Nice one Franck!  I really like the short pines, where can I fine them?  About the taller pine trunks Martins suggestion is a good one but I don't think with them being so narrow that you will get much bark detail to show up, especially with the sun position as you said. Now if they were large Oaks with broad trunks that would be another matter.  Looks acceptable to me.  :)

I think Walli's not here for some days (if I remember correctly) but as soon as I have news, I'l tell you.
Oh, and maybe Frank or Martin have a better memory than I do :D

WOW!  :o Great work Seth! Seems like a photo to me.

I really like how the mist behaving to the sun light is just splashing all around the flora. The better AA and DOF is very photographic.
