Wake Island (WIP)

For a friend, I've done some work on the recreation of an actual island.

The original island can be found here:

It looks very much like an atoll. Are you going to add the buildings and airstrip?
If you change the color of the shallow water to more blue green, the water would match the photo better.

Hey, I remember playing on that island.  Loved it.  Great reproduction so far!
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Do you mean you tried to create it to in TG or did you actually play on the island in your childhood? ???

I played on the island in Battlefield 2.  LOL

update: Working on the surface shaders before I add vegetation. I'm somewhat happy with the beach, but not perfectly so. I need some more "graininess".

Try adding a tiny (0.01) amount of displacement to the base colours layer, I've found this usually gives a nice grainy effect.
Playing with the offset and displacement roughness values can also add to this. Be careful not to make the values too big. Small is best.
