Something I've been working on for a while...

Two versions:

More Saturated

domdib

#1
Less saturated:

EDIT: a couple of points I forgot to mention. Although the sun is behind the mountain on the right, this is rendered without ray-traced shadows in the atmosphere, using the hack in this post: http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=7369.0

And the postwork is in Lightzone.

I like the most saturated one ...
great image...

NKAID...
Le peu que je sais, c'est à mon ignorance que je le dois.

I like the less saturated one. Looks more 'historic'.

The second one is better IMHO, perhaps less saturated but slightly more contrast. But I'd also work on the waves a little more. Perhaps have some really large displacements, to get huge swells, at the same time making it less rough. So some large swells would go higher than the horizon, others not. There's not really depth in the water (towards the distance I mean). And a group of seabirds...

Thanks for your comments. I have had the water a bit rougher, but I wasn't very happy with the way it looked. And seabirds? Mmm - maybe if I had a few penguins  :)

Set up is good but composition is very bad. The band of water at the bottom. It looks cropped off at the bottom.
