The 'trees' layer you have is only for distribution as I can see, although you have coloured it green and have it connected to the main shader network.
This shouldn't be connected to the previous shaders, it's only for distribution but as it is just now, that layer is considered as having the snow, base colours, and also the terrain beneath it, you just want the data from it alone, not the previous shaders aswell.

I don't have your terrain file or the objects set up but the 'trees' shader should now work as distribution when you open the edited project.
