I am using a QuadCore 2.66GHz Q9400 4Go Ram
good computer bought exclusively for TG2.
I am still paying it to be honest ^^

Kadri

O well ! I was hoping that your configuration were low . Don't get it wrong , not the kind as a bad wish  ;)
My pc is the same. Maybe it is not good as a i7 but not bad.

In this case my feeling are the same as  Matrix2003...Ouch !

Thanks Seth.

Maybe you are not interested but i would like to see a more HD animation of this...really  :D

Kadri.

Seth

yes i understand Kadri.
I would do better quality if i would be able to work on TG2 at the same time. but with only 1 computer, rendering an animation means watching it rendering and not doing any new render and that is simply impossible ^^
with some more cash in my bank account, i'll try a renderfarm but right now... well... maybe later ;)

by the way, with a good i7, the render time would have been something around 140 hours

chris_x422

Very nice Seth,

Sorry to hear about the rendering, you really deserve access to a renderfarm.
Hope that doesn't discourage you though.

Chris

Seth

discourage ? nope !
I am a big fan of TG2... and rendertime is part of it ;)

Kadri

Yes some of the best TG2 guys here are the most patient ones too.
I don't thing that i can wait so much time  :D

Nice work Seth! I think we might need an own section to animations on this forum.. Atleast that would make them easier to find.. Btw how hard did you find animating the camera or did you do it on an outside app? I'm thinking of upgrading to animation module but I dont know how much I'd benefit from it..

Mouthwash? We don't need no stinking mouthwash!! [MI2]

right now the keyframing is quite basic but very easy to use.
unfortunately, it needs some more tools like curves editing, but to be honest, you can do very good camera movements with some work and the animation module permit to move pretty much everything from the sun to the PF you use, the colours, the objects size, etc...
honestly, i hesitate a long time to buy the anim module (because of the render time problem) but I don't regret it. it is really something to be able to "travel" in your landscape ^^

freelancah

Sounds cool. I have several machines that are currently just consuming space so rendering power wont be a problem. The missing curve editor is a bummer tho..

Great animation Seth. I can help you work out hosting for the full-size version if you want. :)

The addition of a curve editor is part of plans for the final animation module.

This is really cool! Though 250 hours of rendering is a pretty heavy price to pay.
