WTF Win7 Sidebar launcher FAIL

fixed by deleting the shortcut and re-adding the shortcut from the program location rather than the Start menu.

I don't have Win7 with me at the moment - are you talking about the included sidebar app? I didn't know it handled arbitrary shortcuts. Very odd problem, we're not doing anything odd with our shortcuts, so I'm not sure what would be happening.

The sidebar came from the MS site but I think is made by these guys, http://www.kinesys.co.nz/.
When I initially installed it I simply dragged the TG shortcut from the start menu and this worked for a while but to day I got the error message (notice it can be ignored). Deleted it and added it again from the start menu with the same result. On deleting and adding again, this time from the app its self all is working again ... .. .
Strange but I do think win7 may be throwing a few curve balls :)

If you are using a registry optimizer or another type of optimizer, it may be seeing an empty link. They usually only check one level for the program the thing is linked to.
