I made this work keeping in mind the advice of Frank B and tip of Njeneb with a population of trees.
As usual, i used "Walli_plant_pack1" and "Mr_Lampposts_Basic_Bush_Pack". At final - a little color correction in Photoshop.

Have a nice viewing!

looks great, maybe a tad too sharp, but that is personal taste only!

you haven't rendered this with Terragen 2.1, it seems. Do you not have the full license?
If you do, make sure "ray trace objects" is on and that you up AA to 6, or 8.

If you don't have 2.1 yet, you need higher values for AA, such as 10 or 12 (at least 8) to get rid of the pixelated look of the vegetation. It will render much longer, though.

Other than that, it's a lovely scene, very serene. I like it.

I still the see the end of the population, though ;)

Cheers,
Frank

This is very good. Frank is right about the AA. A power fractal in the 'sand' or 'grass' layer with a distance shader input to the Blend by Shader would help hide the population edge. Make the color the same os the most dominate trees leaf color.

're right, Frank, it is not 2.1 - it is Free edition. That is why my artwork have a maximum size of the width 800 px. In this version of "Sunset hills" i used higher values of GI and made some changes.
I hope, it looks better now)

Very very nice work. I really enjoy seeing everyone's renders. It is also great watching over time as the quality of the renders improves. The birds really add to this one.
