a simple scene made from various parts
winter pine by McGebbert
pine cone and gras 1 and 2 by Walli
TU snow pack
clouds -wongae
still not sure the tree is positioned and sized properly, but like the rest

Nicely done :)
I like how you integrated the fake stone bed with TU's snow.

Cheers,
Frank

folder

yes Frank that is yours - sorry forgot to mention :-\

Nice render...

Man I love that snow - lovely contrast in this pic :)

folder

aymenk2003  you are correct - have resized the pine cones and am now re-rendering he scene will post when finished. there is a cone under the tree that i think is ok - left it alone, still wonder about tree size, should the tree be taller with just a part of it showing --back to drawing board?

folder

aymenk2003

the tree size is OK ...let it at its place with that size...everything is OK except the pine cone...

I like your scene- it's really lovely, but would prefer it without the pine cone.  I love the clouds and snow texture.  All-in-all, very nice work!  Linda

the cones were actually the reason for the picture. i also wanted to use the pine needles. i have become interested in ground details ie dirt stone and want to intergrate them into a picture  thanks so much for your comments

This looks quite nice :)
Great to see my snow pack used together with Frank's stones!
I've some minor crits about this, for example the size of the cones (a bit large maybe?) and where they came from, since I can't see a tree where it could have fell off?

If you PM me your e-mail I have a nice surprise for you for the snow-surface to try :)

Cheers,
Martin

Beautiful scene. That's how winter should be like. I agree that the cones don't really fit into the image. The snow looks almost perfect (great work, TU!). If it would sparkle a little bit it would be really fantastic.

Thanks :)

That's what the surprise is about :) It's something I developed later on but it is quite hard to get working in every scene, so therefore I didn't update it because I also would not be able to support it reliably.
Maybe folder wants to give it a try :)

The cones are the only thing I have to say don't fit this image. (Just to be repetitive) I do like everything else. Maybe a render  with a strong vertical image size would fit better. (1280h x 480w) I think it would be more 'balanced' like that.
