Here is a test render from my upcoming follow-up to my procedural planet pack. This is a complete remake of my global cloud setup from scratch, everything is new. I'm happy with some parts and unhappy with others parts but I'll keep working on it  :).

The planet surfacing is from the planet pack.

They just issued a tornado warning and said to stay away from windows. Does that mean I can't use my computer?

Odd, the clouds i would think should be brighter due to the sun light refracting off of there tops. Maybe it is the angle of the light that is throwing me off.

Are you planning on having these clouds work at close up at ground level as well as from space views?
Good so far :)

I'm afraid not at the moment, or they are at least they're not designed to be used that way. I have tried to do that before but in almost all cases the clouds that I get looking good from ground level will almost never look equally good at altitude. I'll render up an example image today while I'm away.

Ahh indeed, I had hoped you had discovered another of the TG planet "holy grails". To be able to animate a space to ground level sequence without having to resort to trickery and cheats. Oh well the quest continues, good luck :)
