This is a test render to see where to place the camera. It's not rendered in high detail, 0.6. I used an AA of 6. It features Marc Gebhart's Birch trees and Tall Pines. The nest render will have higher detail settings and the camera will focus on the Birch. I cropped he image because there was an exploding stone in the foreground. I used a distribution shader on the fake stones.

Nice pov - I would try less harsh lighting in the foreground, and maybe calmer water :)

Cool Henry. Has the River Shader been removed from Terragen. I remember it in the last release but, I can't find it in the shader menus.

Thanks for all your help.

This is really just a depression in the ground with a lake object added.
There is a river operator for height fields. It's a pain to use, because it updates while you play with the settings. I am getting ready to do a 'full' render.

All this needs is some fish stocked in the creek so I can go camping there!!!

Njeneb , this is off topic but  your image loads slow . Your render is 2.22 mb now . With XnView i can compress  your image to nearly  1.4 mb (still png ) .
If you know another better compressor please let me know .

Cheers.

Kadri.

Flickr changes the images when you upload. I do not know if they use progressive jpeg or not. There is a new image of this posted on my photostream. Marc may include it in his brochure. I wanted him to have it directly, but the email would not send it.

Detach it first, Henry, then do the numbers, and re-attach, etc.

I should have thought of that. I think I am stuck in a box, recursive thinking, or stuck in an endless loop.
