The bristlecone pines are a small group of pine trees (Family Pinaceae, genus Pinus, subsection Balfourianae) that are thought to reach an age far greater than that of any other single living organism known, up to nearly 5,000 years. WIKI
NOTE:
This is just a test tree. It is by no means the finished product. This is so you can play around with it. The textures are low res, no roots and no cones.

thanks Marc, would it be possible to add a bit more twisted/gnarled/distortedness to the main trunk for the final?
