Sorry, but I thought the seal was an artefact. Perhaps put it more to the front, or on ice, literally... and is the dark meant to be water or ice? In the case of ice, it's not flat. In the case of icy water, I'd add some subtle waves. But the overall idea is good, and with some improvemenst it could be a very nice image.
