While I agree that the BBC does some really great stuff, like this, Planet Earth, Blue Planet, etc. The government is always lurking about in the supposedly ('unique')publicly funded BBC, even in as subtle forms as their colour schemes. Since Labour have been in power all the links/program adverts/news sets/etc. have been based on the Labour Red scheme, people dancing on wheelchairs, hanging from big red ribbons, all that expensive link stuff that most people probably don't care to see their license fee pay towards.
I seem to remember, all through the 80's under a Conservative government, the theme/sets were always blue, a blue and gold spinning globe, blue news sets, all that.
That's just tiny subliminal stuff in the end, notice how the BBC can make the baddest of police chiefs, war atrocities, members of parliament etc, seem
shiny-shiny and good for us, really, in the end.
Tickly-handshakes galore!

I have only seen parts of this Wonders of the Solar System, I must watch it. I am, after all, paying to, regardless of whether I watch or not.
