It's been a while since I've posted anything and I wanted to give the new build a try :)

Some of you may recognize this scene. It an older one of mine that I wanted to make some improvements for. The whole atmosphere is changed and I have worked some with the terrain. I was not very happy with the way the mountain looked before so that was my main focus.
I think it looks better. It kinda looks a little bigger and has a little more "alpine look" now.

The name is just something I made up. It's not a real mountain or anything like that, but the terrain is based on a "Mount Adams" heightfield.
Anyway... I wanted the name to have a meaning as well, so 10 point to the one that can figure out what it means ;)

Hope you like it.

Terje

"Mountain of the gods" i think ? Without internet it would be  much harder...but then we wouldn't be here  :)

Anyway this image has a refreshing feeling to me. You can use it in freshwater commercials and so (no sarcasm) .
It is really good.I think only some of the ground (left) and a little more variation in the trees could be better.

Thank you Kadri.
I agree with you on the ground to the left. I was not to happy with that. Maybe I'll change it later some time.

And yes. "Mountain of the gods" is correct. 10 points to you ;)

I think the left side could be improved by adding a population of some brush of some sort. The tree line seems too sharp. Everything else looks very good. Nice work.

Fantastic water. Agree that the trees need some work - vary sizes, break up the tree line. Also maybe a grass layer underneath them. But the overall composition is very nice.

Tangled-Universe

Very nice work here. I like the mood, atmo and lighting. Nice background mountain as well.

Definitely agree. Besides that I also really think you should reduce scale-size of the trees by half. Then triple the density at least, because they're too spaced.
Maybe you could also add some extra elements to the surfacing like rocks etc.

Great job! I agree with Martin's comments, but this is already a pretty great scene.

Super work I love the lighting!

I would also mask out the cloud that hangs over the mountain top with a paint shader it sort of reduces the sense of scale of the mountain. and agree with what martin said smaller trees and heaps more of them!

Thanks guys. They are all great ideas and I want to give them a try.
I'll post an update when it's ready, but it will probably take some time. Tomorrow it's back to the real work again :(

Very good render, Terje, especially on the lighting, POV and the snow coverage!

Very good! This reminded me of some Vista (R.I.P.) backgrounds :)
