I spent much time on this project purely a result a bit disappointing (let's say I'm happy with the mountains and clouds but not the forefront with the dam which is a bit stupid ...) trees are obviously Wally . (google traduction)

I really like the Dam itself, it really looks like concrete and the intersection with the rock to the left is beautiful!

The only thing that needs improvemend in my opinion is the chanel and its banks below the dam, those need more detail, perhaps more vegetation or maybe diagonal  concrete, I think the yellow "sand" which looks ok in the distance is not sufficient for a closeup.
I hope you don´t mind, I couldn´t resist to photoshop, because I think the dam itself is worth to be further developed:

Jan

Sorry, I don´t know how to post thumbs, if you don´t like it I´ll take it away.

thank you for the comment, the fact that you retouch my image does not bother me at all (quite the contrary being self-critical with myself, this kind of thing proves that what I am doing is not so uninteresting it)
Otherwise what do you mean by "diagonal concrete"? (Me and the English ...) (google traduction)

I think Jan has made a nice change. The clouds are very good.

Tyrcrash , i think you should continue to improve this image. It has great potential ! Nice  :)

Hi Tyrcrash,
by "diagonal concrete" I just meant the sides of the chanel, rising diagonally, made of concrete, more or less like I tried to photoshop it.

Ok I understand this is a good idea but in the mountains of the Pyrenees (France) I have never seen a channel that extends the dam concreted ms can be as they seem to exist, plus I have no idea how I could do that (use a separate object). to the "channel" I just used a paint shader set as "blending shader on a" surface layer "with a" displacement "negative. If not for the water stops at the dam I used the method for hidden water Dandelo. (google traduction)

Hello Tyrcrash,
The idea with the concrete was just an example.
I only thought that this part of your image needs more Detail. More differeint Vegetation or some more rocks would also be interesting.
Central message was: keep the dam, its good!

Jan

I think I begin to understand the scale of the dam!
Those are small trees, not small bushes?
I imagined the dam much smaller, like perhaps eight meters high.
I think that is the perspektive from above, which is necessary to keep the beautiful background in sight.
Well, go on like this and it will look as huge as it is supposed to!

Jan
