Messing around with displacements again.  the attached file is 1920 x 1080 and the linked one on my website is the full render at 3384 x 2160!  Took just over 5 hours to render the huge version which is really impressive.

Awesome displacements. I like it that the larger features don't get too noisy/spiked.
The blending of the x/z axis stretched fractals is nicely done.

I'm not very fond of the type of lighting and balance between shadow and highlights.
Admittedly, this type of lighting makes it an interesting image and also takes away the need to work a lot on nice rock shading.

Cheers,
Martin

epic win!
superb displacement control!

The full size version is really impressive! Agree with TUs comments except that I am a "high contrast" - lover and therefore like the lighting :)

Well that's not what I meant....The high contrast is fine with me here, since it's not as harsh as your images sometimes can be Frank ;) :P
I meant the balance between how much is covered by shadow and how much by direct light.

Thanks very much.  Maybe this one is a little more to your tastes Martin.

sweet rocks going on here!

Dune

Incredible rock face, Ryan. I even detect something that looks like a cave, right in the center. Is that by 'accident' or painted shader, or other wisdom? But it is hard to see in this light. I prefer softer light myself, probably just a little bluish fill from the right would do it good. But that's only MO.

Another viewpoint.  Next step is to see if I can fight with daz studio to get some climbers...

Dune, everything is procedural so if there is a cave it is just a happy accident.  Kind of like the big split you can see in this latest viewpoint.

Hetzen

Really great displacments. That crack is a gem.

Tangled-Universe

Wow that last one is really nice Ryan!

inkydigit
