My first render, 2nd is finishing up today sometime.
It has been eaten.

This is quite good. I like the striations on the moon to the right. Looks like ice cracks.

i agree with Njeneb on the striations details,  looks great imo - realistic.

are you planning on adding any vegetation or populations to this?

Thanks guys.
No, not planing to add anything to the image. I have used it in a video composite where a meteor shower is seen in the background just as one strikes the foreground causing an explosion.
I am trying to figure out how to upload it now, to get some feed back.

Also, I should not have said it was my first render (above).  I have followed some tutorials and done some experimenting. Rather, TwoMoons is my first original work from terragen2.

Ok, so here is a link to the above image used in a video composite, by me. Its real short, likely just a flash in my demo...Who knows.

Please let me know what you think.

Dune

Very good! Once you have a longer version, I'd be anxious to see it. I like the way the meteors explode, with the smoke and debris flying off. Is this purely TG2?

Henry Blewer

Nice work. It really needs to be lengthened. I agree with Ulco (Dune), the explosion is quite good.

Thanks guys, Im glad you like it.
I might do a second angle to edit in, to make it longer.

I used Terragen, AfterEffects cs3 with Particular2 for the blast cloud and a stock library for audio, and a few details.

Wish I had done it in HD.

whew, that was close, that one almost hit me... :D

Thanks zaai,

I think shots should be short. Only 3-4 seconds each, unless there is camera movement. cuts should be natural and follow the eyes blinking pattern.

but anyway feed back here has been good, so Im going to re-do it in HD and add some other angles to edit a nice sequence, I'll use it in my demo.

Thanks everyone.

I must agree - that is awesome - film quality!
Every problem is an opportunity, but there are so many opportunities it is a problem!

ajcgi
