One consistent problem I'm experiencing is that I loose spatial ability to manoeuvre an object's boundary box.  Insofar that the frame is white all round.

It would be very useful if one side of the box had a coloured wire frame so that one can associate that face to the direction of the object within.

Because at the moment I can't tell which way the object is facing, especially if I inadvertently flip the image when altering say the object's rotation.   :-*

That's not a bad idea as an improvement to the current system. More significant improvements may be a small enough jump in development time and effort from that baseline to make them more worthwhile. In other words there's not much sense implementing a "half step" if something much better will come along later anyway. But on the other hand it could always be a fallback mode for lower-end systems.

I hear you, I just thought it wouldn't take much time to code one side say yellow. Doesn't matter which side, just so that after a trial render, one knows which way/up/down the object is facing.   ;)
