Control node values with functions

I am working on a real night sky texture (Tycho2 star database, 2.5 million stars) and a function network, in which I can set my position and date/time on earth into some constants and get the correctly rotated night sky texture.

At the moment I don't know how to control the rotation values of a "Transform input shader" and the heading and elevation of the "Sunlight" node via functions. The nodes do not have any input values. Maybe the "Transform input shader" can be replaced by some texture rotating functions - but is it possible at all to control the sun's position with functions? :(
