X & Z to Y

I'm trying to think, been trying a few things with rotation but not sure I am thinking of it right, but I was wondering, how could I take a 2D texture, and "Convert" it, into a Y noise? Not just Y to Scalar, but the actual X & Z "slice" you could preview, on flipped on the Y axis.
