Really like this but background seems a bit under-exposed. Don't know if that's due to my monitor settings, though.

A stream.

That big tree looks really nice. Very well detailed. Maybe little more leaf translucency for direct lighting. That may be contributing to the unusually dark forest. Nice vegetation setup.

A very pleasant setting; could easily be a scene from a movie.

Agreed on the darkness, a bit too worked on in PS. Here's another version with just 50% of auto-toning in PS. The originals are much hazier.

Oh, that is much nicer!. Love the details like the stream with one side shallow slope, the other side undercut and with an overhang!

Much nicer, it actually really helps with the sedimentary bank too oddly enough. I hardly noticed it in the first iteration - it stands out as prominent as it would be IRL now.

I like them both as you get a slightly different story in each.

Some new 'today's renders'. Tests, more like it. First one has flaws, second one too. I was actually working towards the painting shown, and was just testing some rock setup first.

The stream was already very nice.
Now I am curious how your interpretation of the painting will look like. Great start so far! :)
