Just seeing how things work ...

Both use KitBash3D resources, do check out their site for some [urlhttps://kitbash3d.com/collections/kits/products/cyberpunk-mini-kit]FREE[/url]stuff.

The second one is entirely lit bu an HDRI from HDRIHAVEN and also uses Quixel MegaScan assets.
Again do check out their FREE collections.

I like the second scene very much. Even it is only a test, maybe.
And this is all done in TG - well, lighting an rendering I mean? Not the modeling (obviously).
Right now I think I would not know how to set up a HDRI render in TG (scratching head hmhmhm  :o)

These look really cool. I like the second one, though I'm a little puzzled why a HDRI was used. Was it to get a overcast without cloud burning? I don't see any of it in the shot besides the overcast sky. Unless the buildings are? Don't look like it.

cyphyr

As I say primarily a test but the HDRI is there (although you can't see it behind the low cloud) to provide diffuse non directional overcast lighting.
Oshyan provided a sample tgd here a while back.
Just ramping up the ambient I find "flattens" every thing out.

Both very cool but I like the second one at this time most! It's just fascinating!

Hannes

Yes, very cool! I like the second one most as well.

I downloaded their new steam punk one and it's too huge to even process in PoseRay on this computer...guess it'll have to await the Corsair's return to service.

Yes, they are cool models but there are a lot of material here to organize. Looks like it may take a while....

I use Lightwave (any 3d package will do) and re-save each model and then open each model up in Terragen and re-assign all the textures there and save out again as a tgo.
Tedious work but slowly I'm building a library of buildings so worth it in the long run.

by the way @CredePendrel, what application is that in your capture?

Sadly my only 3D program is Imagine, a real antique now and it does nothing so I am forced to use PoseRay...guess I'll just bin the dir.
