Was testing out the Intersect Underlying options a bit more, and got a bit carried away. Ended up with another 'sea of clouds'
GI 2,2
AA 4
2 cloud layers
3 surface layers
Graded the 32-bit EXR in Photoshop CS3, exposure only (I have no qualms about treating a render like a negative).
Some bits and bobs
The Galileo Fallacy,
'Argumentum ad Galileus':
"They laughed at Galileo. They're laughing at me. Therefore I am the next Galileo."
Nope. Galileo was right for the simpler reason that he was right.

That's nice.
The combination of the different cloud densities gives a realism that is missing in most similar scenes.
I will need to remember that
Excellent work.
Smoke me a kipper I'll be back for breakfast.

Wonderfully done. I agree with the lighting and the clouds you've nailed this one.

Like the lighting and the color.
So this is Disney World. Can we live here?

The scales of the cloud billows are perfect. The lighting and rocks look very real as well.

cool, very fotorealistic
perfection is not when there's nothing more to add, it's reached when nothing more can be left out

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.
I decided to re-render with a different sun heading. Also added some lens blur and a bit of grain this time (why the hell not...)
