So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Great work, everyone, one really stands out to me and that render is Otakar's.

Absolutely fantastic view of the Shire. The teacup seems slightly big and I think I see some shadow issues inside the house(beneath the table etc.) but overall this one has something extra. And, Bilbo's Big Red Book is on the table, too. :)

I wish I hadn't shared my Argonath image, I think it's better than my Nazgul one but everyone's probably became used to seeing it, bored with looking at it, oh well. :)

Good luck, all. Great entries!

dandelO, I loved that Argonath image.  Not boring.   8)

I would have voted for that one if you had entered it...

Now my vote goes to Volker and Moodflow, for great realism in lighting and movement and sense of scale.
Howgh!

What scene is that from LOTR from Moodflow and Volker?

Mandrake

Looks like Pippen and Merry riding on Treebirds shoulders.

The poll will be open until next Sunday morning, the 8th.

I really like the control displayed in both Otakar's and and Moodflow/Volker's images. Great work all around :).

All of these entries were so diverse in both concept and approach.  What impresses me about them all is the distinct style, all this from one program, freaky.  They all have a storybook look to them, though.

What impresses me the most about Otakar's render is that he got away with putting the camera inside an interior structure.  I certainly don't blame him for keeping the door open ...  ;D

I thought Volkur and Moodflow's image was a shot of the Uruk-hai marching on Helm's Deep.  I thought the motion blur implied a still shot from a moving camera, but now that someone mentioned it, those could be Hurons or Ents.  A really subtle render, great light.

I'm a bit anxious about Mel Brooks in LotR, that could hurt.   ;D

Well, which part of it is TG2?

Well PG that would seem to be a question that I should answere!. What is TG in my pic is the Inn, The atmosphere the mnts. and the forest/trees plus part of the river. What these segments constitute is roughly 70% of the image, the rest is only perhaps less than tateful satire/composition and fast food plagerism. What the hell it didn't cost anybody anything other than a silly visual questioning of the actual importance of Mr.Tolkien's work.

PG

oh yeah, I see. I like the naughty hobbit with the fishing rod. :D

I like it, this is what can be achieved when TG is pushed to its limits. Some parts of the image look photo realistic!
