Im not sure if i like the new trees, and i dont think the lighter sky enhances anything. But thats just my opinion

actually, those trees grow in places like that, (coastal areas, salt marshes), they happen to be tolerant to saltwater.

A little bit strange perhaps, but what works best for me in this image are the clouds in the background. They blend in so nicely towards the horizon :)

Nice work, it's looking closer and closer to those reference photos! keep 'um coming :)

RogueNZ

Ahh i can see what you mean now :D You've done a great job sticking to the reference photos. Keep it up

Very good! The look of the vegetation has improved imho. The last render is great, and the clouds at the horizon give a lot of extra depth.

Cheers,

I added a cirrus cloud layer, but I cant show the image, cause TG2 had a RunTime error when I was saving the image...

I got rid of that one tree and added a cirrus cloud layer.

I'm thinking about putting a cluster of pine trees on the left, or maybe some on the right, off in the distance...
what do you think?

The image now really has gotten some depth, think that aspect is better than in the very first versions :)

I'm getting where you want to go with this. I think having multiples of the same tree model isn't helping. You could be better off with just the one, use it as a hero tree, and place it where you want the eye to be first drawn to. Then add different foliage, although I realise getting model variations is a bit of a panacea. Don't get me wrong, I think this image could be really subtle.

there appears to be a problem with the palmetto tree, the very top of it seems to be clipped off!

I had a similar problem with a fern this last week - could there be a general problem in this release? Tons of bucket errors! >:(
