Having done a lot with Voronoi by now, I am going to use those functionalities on perlin-noise now.

Step One.

Is this going to hatch? ;D

This is a very cool texture. Could you post the tgd file? I'd like to see how you are making these.

mhaze

how do you get such sharp edges - gain node?

Gannaingh

Volker Harun

@njeneb ... no tgd-file ... at this moment
@mhaze ... I was playing with bias and gain nodes. But those are not included in here. The edge sharpness is due to a power node. Here the output has a power of 9.

mhaze

hmmmmm....... I shall have to play

Oh, cool.  Like a big version of a cat's bell.   :o   Neat.

Keep experimenting, if you have time, Volker.  This stuff is awesome to watch.
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

That Celtic, Druid person has been here again, hasn't he.....   ;D
I just need to tweak that texture a bit more...

Thanks for the comments ... now to Step 2

Yet the same function ... almost.
You might see that this Perlin Maze is following the Gaps of Step 1.

To be continued ....

Volker

FrankB

ah, now I see, I first did not understand. You mean the maze texture is flowing into the bigger cracks. Got you now.

Well, yes and no ...
You are right about your point ... whar I tried to say is:
When looking at the small gaps of Step 1 like at the bottom left of the render, you'll find the same figure in Step 2 ... but more detailed. ,-)
