Hay Monks,

  Yes you got it right Monks, I look at all human beings as Brothers and Sisters since we all come from the same loins as they say with Eve.  So I look at everyone as a brother or sister, not matter the color or how or what they look like, you are all my brothers and Sisters.  Simple really  /smiles....

Yes, MeltingIce's tuts are fun to do.

OH, I was just asking because I wasn't sure if you guys were actually brothers... Anyway If we can't get a contest soon we should at least get another challenge. Any idea?

I really don't know and the mod is not talking just watching the posts,,,, But I agree if I knew how to get one started I would do it myself, been looking at other tgd2 artists here on rosity and WOW there are some awesome artists that are not playing.  Need to get them on to this contest ideas and find out what it will take to get them to want to play with us also /smiles.....haha I am working on that idea now.

Even just a challenge like when we were given a terrain and stuff and had to make a scene around that. I think its still the most viewed topic but I'm not sure.

I agree lets get this show on the road please /smiles.....and this is the easiest idea and way to get this all  going, and any .ter file will do for starters hahahaha.  If we can get the people that posted this forum to get into this now, we talked enough hahaha, lets have some more contests please /hint hint hint.........Maybe even use the same .ter file for this months reg Terragen challenge, it is already posted and we could get on it tonight or tomorrow.  Agree everyone? leaves lots of room for just about anything, could be awesome to see what we really can all come up with.

DT, the Default Shader, which is used normally for imported model textures, doesn't support tiling at the moment. You can use an Image Map shader in place of it - it does support tiling. You would only be able to turn tiling off and on though, not set the price number of tiles. However if the scaling and UV mapping is correct I would think it should work right. Tiling settings on imported model textures will certainly be supported properly in the future.

In the Image Map Shader you can create any number of repeating tiles across the UV space, using the "size" parameter. The default size is 1.0, 1.0, but you can reduce this to create more repeats. If you want 2x2 tiles, set the size to 0.5, 0.5. If you want 4x4, set size to 0.25, 0.25.

Hay Mat,

  Yes, thank you very much for the input and info.../smile, but  I figured all that out a bit back, but yes, very good stuff to know about tiling and I used that feature when I did the Space Station a bit back. I had to redo the texture mapping so I took out the import XSI default shader when I imported it in and did as you said above, then figured I could tile it that way and came out with something pretty nice.  Still needs a bit of tweaking here and there, but yes, good information to have and thanks for sharing it with everyone, I kinda forgot to do that, just ran with the ball after I thunk it out.....Would be nice to change the type of mapping better, but not to shabby all in all.

Also if we had a free Contest we can all do the ideas we have been wanting to try out so we can all get our feet wet more in the contests with tgd2.  As I said I will contact the PlanetSide PR dept. and get there support I think if we can get this thing going here pretty soon and more action at this point instead of talking this to death.  Can we get the ball rolling here soon?  Every one of the ideas expressed are great ones and all should be done, so winner takes and decides the next theme, so make your entry really count and make it good /winks.  I think winners should get a tgd2 full Auth code for winning and will get one hell of allot of response and entries and wee need new blood on this, and this is a very good way to get it.

What think Ye all? ??? ::) ;D
