I do understand the concept of adding extra light sources of some kind: Lots of photographers use flash in bright daylight conditions so the shadows aren't that dark and show more detail. However in this case nothing really came out of doing so: I did a couple of scenes with various settings but didn't notice any improvement.
So instead I did something no photographer can do: I moved the sun. Hallelujah! And behold: The light was right. At least, that's what I think.

Adding some veggies was no problem: The heather from Dune and Herb Robert from XFrog were all that was needed IMO.

Thank you all for your advice! Finishing this render was so important to me and I couldn't have done it without you.

yeah, looks good. Trees look really nice.

Might want to do some iterations of the lighting (sun position). Never know.

Dune

Yes, terrific! You pulled it off!

It's been awhile since I laid eyes on your work, Andy, and it seems you've not skipped a beat.  I fully support you on (1) kicking the "coffin nails" as me dear old dad would call them and (2) your further innovations in TG2.  You are a quiet savant.  What goes on inside that head of yours I'll never know but love to see what comes out.

Keep on keeping on, old friend!
