Like badger, I also like the geology anomalies. I like to do this sort of thing too. Just trying to imitate nature in a simple morning fog can be really exiting.

Fantastic. The foreground looks amazingly like areas of the Shenandoah Valley I've seen from the air. (if you can just ignore the background mountains)

Your texturing is really nice and and the terrain is well done. I think I do see where the population boundary is, unfortunately. Blending that into a procedural (fake tree) displacement is a tricky task, but something to consider IMHO.
