Here's a pic for C&C that I started last night. Thanks to red_planet for the conversion of the bridge from .max to .obj.

Great idea and good start. For me the back (part behind the main subject) is pretty empty. Some trees or something would be cool to fill it up.
Some human models on the bridge perhaps?

Dune

I agree with Archon, a bunch of people on the road would be nice, and some trees. Perhaps also something like reeds on the foreground to give some depth.

Thanks all...in the mean time awaiting replies I revisited Mr Google to see the source of my inspiration and all comments ring true...except the foreground reeds...not very Japanese/Chinese...they tend to be OCD about contrived landscapes, with trees distorted into wild shapes the main organic input....they like water a lot as well. O K, I'm generalizing but in my mind I had a zen like scene...will I think redesign the scene from scratch I think. Stay tuned

Very nice I like the emptiness, much more Asian and very peaceful. Please don't clutter the image. I am not a fan of the clouds, perhaps some long wispy ones.

AP

This scene has so much potential for some very good minimalism. I would light up the shadows though with a bit more GI so the details can be more appreciated.

I did, it was more an acknowledgement of what was already discussed.    ;)

made some changes, here's a comp of 3 new view and a top down. Couldn't stop myself from breaking up the grass with a Chinese design in honour of the Year of the Monkey tonight.
