I took liberty to take some screen caps from the most beautiful movie (set location wise) "Stardust" and also from the movie "Resident Evil: Extinction"

luckily I have access to a bluray and Hd-dvd drive, so I was able to capture some HD shots.

I have done maximum compression on these so I could fit them in here, there are more and higher quality shots in the zip file; link to which is below...

some of the shots from the Resident Evil movie have motion blur and you know the obvious reason....

hope somebody can recreate at least one of these.....

Thanks, DH!  I thought of TG while watching Stardust.  I wonder if it was used in this movie?
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

dhavalmistry

no these are all natural landscapes....the film was shot mostly in Scotland!

Ah, Stardust - that's arguably one my most favorite movies ever.  The balance in the movie was great, and beats out most of the fantasy stuff out there in terms of, well, everything.

Another movie that looked a lot like it was made from terragen was Eragon.  I watched the other day after playing with TG for a few days, and I kept thinking, "I could do that".  Of course when I tried I couldn't but I think it is possible.

Ugh... *shudder*.  Not to go too off topic, but no amount of beautiful scenery could get me to watch that movie again.
