Rockface (2 flavours)

Haven't uploaded something for a while, too busy helping my wife break a pony 

Anyway, here are two versions of the same render, the first one has just very basic post work (colour balance, contrast etc) done in Corel Photopaint, the second one has had PhotoPaints "Auto Adjust" feature applied. I can't make up my mind which I prefer, as they both give such a different "feeling" of climate temperature etc to the scene. Anyway, let me know what you think.

I'd like it somewhere in between, where the close terrain is sharp and the distant atmosphere is a little dense.

If I have to choose one I would go for the first one, the second one has a definite "Enhanced" look.  What I usually do if I want to correct an image is make a duplicate layer, apply the correctons to that; then blend between the two and look for a point where the corrections is there but not obvious.

I'll go with Calico on this one, the first image looks a little washed out for my taste while the second you can tell its enhanced, somewhere inbetween please

what's "breaking a pony"?

My wife bought a pony, called Rainbow, that hasn't been used for riding before, in other words, Rainbow hasn't had a saddle or anyone sitting on her back, soooo, she need breaking in, in other words getting her used to bridle, bit, sadle, then putting our daughter on her back, then teaching her what to do when the reigns are used in certain ways, then teaching he to jump etc. A lot of work, but very rewarding when it all comes together, and financially rewarding when you can sell the pony on for 3 times what you paid for her, because she has now been broken and used

Isn't terminology for things like this just great. In reality, unbroken, unused ponies are only good for mowing the grass.
