No matter what I do, I can't get rid of these lines.  I'm not using an image map and it would be great to find a solution to this.

This is image is magnified out of scope and not representative of an actual sharp render.

It's really hard to tell what those lines are part of.  Water?  Ground?  Clouds?

Ground.  I'll post the results of more research here, when I figure it out.

Or maybe I should just post the TGD to get better input.  I know where the problem is in general.  It's understanding why it's happening that is another thing altogether.  But, I think it's because two groups of terrain used to make a lava appearance are using the same SEED values in the PFSs.

Did you lower the detail blending parameter?

rcallicotte

TU, yes.  All of my displacements and / or scales are all adequate and nothing over or under inflated.  I really think that since two node groups were basically the same, except for some small complementary changes, that the problem was that the seed values in the parallel PFSs were the same.  Once that was changed, it appears to be working fine.

Matt or Oshyan recently posted a message explaining that reducing detail blending lowers the rendertimes but can also result in line-forming which I thought could be the case here.
It seems it was possibly and that it also depends a little on PF settings etc. Maybe if you even lower it more the lines will show up again.

My detail blending - I didn't really do anything with that.

Huh? ??? I asked if you did and you started your reply with "T-U, yes." ;D lol

 :o  Oh My God!!    ;D

Sorry.

It's all gone now.

Calico,

What fixed it?  I've seen issues with this before, but I moved on chalking it up to my own settings.

Thanks for your time,
