I was trying out a little idea I had, based on some 3DMark scenes.
So I rendered 2 small 30 frame animations, of coloured lights moving across the screen like fairies.
They are not small enough to post here, but I was able to attach them to a post on Ashundar/Terragen.org.

The difference between the animations is 'visible object' of the light sources enabled or disabled.

Let me know what you think...

I couldn't find the animations.  Would you (or can you?) give us a direct link?
So this is Disney World.  Can we live here?

Seth

it is a bit short for me to give you some feedbacks...

Sure, I fixed some things on my site so I can put stuff on my server again and view it in a directory online.

Well, the feedback I need right now is, after replaying it a few times, what would you prefer, visible objects enabled or disabled?
Howgh!

Hannes

Looks beautiful! I'd say enabled.

inkydigit

cool, enabled for sure, and some going across the water!!! :)

Tangled-Universe

Enabled. And if you have little doubts yourself, you could still keep them enabled and reduce their sizes a bit. But for now, I definitely prefer the one with objects enabled.

Cheers,
Martin

Seth

i agree with Martin and will try to reduce their size (of the object only, the light is very good)

I was thinking of that too. The yellow one already heads towards the water!

When I reduce the object size, it shouldn't be less than half it's current size, right?

Hi

Sweet and realy beautiful!

Now You need some Wind for the grass,
but I don't know how this could be possible.

ciao

Yes indeed, exactly what I had in mind for the size!

ndeewolfwood

agree with Naoo for the wind....
this is the number one problem with terragen vegetation.
it's impossible to get a nice animation with closeup and long grass.
the world is not static... :P

Mohawk20

Yes, well, it could be a very calm night.
Wat bothers me more is that the water is static in the anims. In the past, TG2 had an option to have a different seed for the water in every frame, so the water was moving per default.
Now I have to find out how I can make the water move just a little, but still be realistic.
Howgh!

Seth

did you try to "warp" it ?
