@Hannes: I got the same idea about the luminosity, it helps, but I didn't want to overdo it. The foam is displaced, but with that I didn't want to overdo that as well. After all, what you see is a rather large area, the waves are big. I'm quite happy with the boat (I wanted it to look small in comparison to the waves to show the drama of outbound fisherman, so to say. And after all: it IS a model

), although I now see that the foam is going over the aft.
@TU: I put some more foam elsewhere, but it didn't come out very much (less luminosity a.o.) The foam fractal is nothing fancy, but I'll have to experiment with voronoi (someone did this already, I remember).
The problem with water (and clouds) is that the renders take so long, and I'm very impatient and want to get on to the next challenge. So I would better stick to dunes,I guess...
