There are a few strata shaders in there, but they cause stretching as you can see. I could use a few horizontally stretched power fractals to create strata but they would change the overall look.

Great! I like the shadow-light distinction of this setup. What's it to be on the foreground; river, grass, more rock?

I have yet to figure that out. Not much vegetation I think, at most some dry bushes. Or maybe some last melting snow.
