All I've heard is that she's stepped down from her post in Alaska, and that the speculation is on her freeing up time to become the next president candidate. Is there more to it?

My American politics is limited to an anti Battlestar Galactica board, which happens to have a politics forum. On which I've spent far too many drunken nights arguing against some GOP friends about the positive (read sarcastic) virtues of Bush, even though I lean more to the conservative side of UK politics. From the dialogue I've had there, they seem to believe she has a back lit glow from where the sun seemingly shines, which at it's root must be some what tongue in cheek, but sometimes I wonder.

I am not so surprised. The Saturday Night Live Character made her look smarter than she really is. I am sure she is a good administrator, but in the 'pull up your sleeves and fight' of world politics... $:-\$

Ummmm.....I think I would be careful bad mouthing the USA. Is your country over in Afghanistan with our Marines fighting the Taliban in a area that supplies 90 percent of the world's opium that funds the Taliban.

Im not bad mouthing im stating the truth your country is in a financial crisis everyone knows this
and yes my country are peace keeping in Afghanistan and I will probably be joining them in a years time
