I've just noticed the snow on the base of the trees - how did you do that?

I'm not sure what you mean with the base of the trees. I didn't do anything special to that.

The snow on the models is done in 3D Studio Max.
There are several tutorials on the net demonstrating how to create snow using particles.
It's very simple once you've succesfully went through the procedure once.

Does that answer your question?

Cheers,
Martin

This is great. Sure is nice when you can add to models like this (snow). Flawless render. Congrats!

Thanks for the reply Martin. Don't have max so I'll have to do it the hard way if I ever need the effect.

Thanks Otakar :)

Well, if you don't plan on covering too many models I'm willing to do a couple for you.

I really like that ground fog.  It shows just how cold it is.  And the sunset light flood couldn't have been done better.  Very nice work indeed!
