Dune

The bug is still here.

Matt

I'm fixing the world-space issue right now :)
Just because milk is white doesn't mean that clouds are made of milk.

Dune

:) :) :)  Thanks a lot, Matt! Great.

One small step for Matt, but a giant leap for (me) Terragen :)

Grass clump and world opacity. This will make my life so much easier, not having to clone or edit out instances growing over paths. This will also make feeding edges of forests so much better!

Thanks again!

Matt

Yeah, I suppose you need this when your population members are too large to just use a density shader. Nice example!

It's fantastic. You made me very happy. I use the grass clump often for large areas of simple grass in birdseye views, and always had trouble keeping it off small 50cm paths. I had to use smaller patches locally or so. This makes it so much easier.

Here's another very quick example of a feeding edge. Just put it together in 10mins or so, so far from perfect.

Is this a bugfix for everyone and downloadable somewhere? Or restricted to "on maintenance" users? Thx.
What is the latest Production Release today, anyway? I lost track....

CHeers, Klaus

ps: I use 4.5.43 Frontier atm

@KlausK, this was in alpha testing, but as of today it's a Release Candidate and can be found with "Check for Updates" if your license maintenance includes 4.5.

Ooh I'm liking that grass clump trick. Just default shader with opacity zero masked in?

Dune

Yeah. Extremely helpful in a lot of cases!
