Dune

You should make a habit of checking out every new post, Bob.

Here's a new version; other car, but I used to large patches of grass (they float here and there). The tree now has a procedural 'bark', etc. I had to put a 'driver' in the empty car, which is a simple sphere (for now).

Much improved, an impressive image. Great mood and the plant distribution is amazing. Where did you get the tree btw?

Amazing how a change in the sun's position can deliver a whole new look. Sometimes an additional light source may be needed to better illuminate the vegetation. Did you do that here?

Dune

Yes, the GI was 2/2, but I added a 0.15 bluish no shadow fill light at the right. The sun has 2 versions, one for glow and speculars, one for light and no glow/speculars, or the sky and water would bleach out.

Dune

Another one, which I will still have to refine.

Oh man, this is looking great. Another 'Road Pack' at NWDA?

Dune

I'll keep this to myself for the time being. Sorry. Have to figure out some stuff, which I want to do myself. Like you can see here. I am also afraid that if I put this at NWDA Frank's pack won't sell anymore  8) My method might be partially overlapping (don't know really), but it'll wind a road along any slope (road slope adjustable) and be flat where it needs to be. As usual with simple shapes (that's the basis of course), you are stuck to either x or Z directional roads with a bit of warp. So for this image I set up a slightly valley like stretched PF terrain with quite smooth features (or the road will bump more), and the terrain needs to be built up from that.

Dune

Updated.

Dune

Still some issues to solve.

It's coming along nicely.  It looks to me like the section of road in the background has more bend/slope than it should

otakar

Looks like the road from hell, rollercoaster style :) No shoulder and no guardrail (except in one spot now)...  ;D Amazing technique, though. Like the last shot a lot.

Lady of the Lake

Love the paved one.  Wow!
