    Frequently Asked Questions about the Price Tiers

    Choosing Your Price Tier

    • Is the license considered to be for individual use or company use?
      • The license is considered to be for company use if the license is purchased by a company or will be owned by a company or run on company owned or rented hardware; otherwise the license is considered to be for individual use.
    • If the license is considered to be for individual use according to the above criteria:
      • You can choose “INDIE 50” if the user’s total income over the last 12 months was less than or equal to $50,000.00 when converted to US Dollars.
      • You can choose “INDIE 100” regardless of income.
    • If the license is considered to be for company use according to the above criteria:
      • You can choose “INDIE 100” if the company’s annual gross revenue was less than or equal to $100,000.00 when converted to US Dollars.
      • You can choose “SMALL CO” if the company’s annual gross revenue was less than or equal to $10 million when converted to US Dollars.
      • You can choose “MID CO” if the company’s annual gross revenue was less than or equal to $1 billion when converted to US Dollars.
      • Choose “LARGE CO” if the company’s annual gross revenue was greater than $1 billion when converted to US Dollars.

    Switching from Old Prices to New

    No. Your existing subscription will remain in effect and continue to auto-renew at its current price, as long as it is not canceled by you.

    You can take advantage of the new pricing the next time your subscription renews.

    1. Please cancel your current subscription so it doesn’t auto-renew. Your license will remain valid until the current subscription period ends.
    2. When the current subscription period ends, purchase a new subscription based on the pricing tier that applies to you.

    We are unable to provide refunds for monthly or quarterly subscriptions.

    1. Cancel your existing subscription so that it will not auto-renew. Your license will remain valid until the existing subscription expires.
    2. Once your existing subscription expires, choose the pricing tier that applies to you and purchase a new monthly, quarterly (where applicable), or annual subscription to Terragen Professional Subscription.

    We are happy to help you switch over to a new Professional Subscription so that future renewals will be at the new price. Please contact support@planetside.co.uk and provide them with your license numbers and pricing tier that applies to your situation. Although we can’t provide a refund, subscriptions which were renewed in the last 12 months may be eligible for an extension of the license expiry date, depending on the pricing tier that applies to you and the amount of time remaining on your subscription. In some cases there may be a fee for the upgrade from Creative to Professional, depending on the pricing tier that applies to you and the amount of time remaining on your subscription.

    Although we can’t provide a refund, perpetual licenses of Terragen 4 purchased March 01, 2023 through November 15, 2023 may be eligible for an extension of the license’s Maintenance expiry date.  Please contact support@planetside.co.uk and provide them with your license numbers and the new pricing structure tier that applies to your situation.
