When you buy Terragen 2, you unlock extra capabilities and remove limitations that are in the Free Non-Commercial edition. With each user license you also get up to 5 additional render node licenses, depending on the edition, which means that you can render images on up to 6 computers per user (or 4 computers if you buy without the Animation module).

You are required to purchase a license for Terragen 2 if it is for commercial use, as specified in the License Agreement presented to you when you install or first use the software.

The Free Non-Commercial edition has a number of limitations which are removed when you buy Terragen 2:

• License for commercial use
• Render images larger than 800 x 600
• Render images with higher detail and anti-aliasing quality
• No hard limit on the number of object populations (the Free Edition is limited to 3)
• Animation and motion blur capabilities if you purchase the Animation option

All of the above benefits are extended to include any minor updates (2.x versions) at no extra charge as they become available.

The cost of Terragen 2 is the same regardless of whether it is for commercial or personal use, and the benefits are the same.

Licenses are interchangeable between Mac and Windows, but we like to know which platform you prefer.

Once we have received confirmation of your payment you will be sent a key file and download instructions by e-mail. Please note that key file generation is not an automatic process, and you should expect to wait up to 24 hours before receiving your key file. Please keep your key file and download instructions safe; we recommend that you back up your key file onto a CD or similar as soon as you receive it, and print a copy of the email containing your download password.
